Pricing and quotes

How much does it cost to mount a TV?

TV mounting from Mounted and More starts at $150 anywhere from Purgatory to Pagosa. Basic Mounting starts at $200 and Advanced Mounting at $325. These are starting prices, not final quotes. A bigger TV, a log, stone or brick wall, a fireplace mount or extra wiring can raise the total.

What is the difference between Mount and Go, Basic and Advanced Mounting?

The difference is how much is done beyond hanging the TV. Mount and Go, from $150, is mounting only. Basic Mounting, from $200, adds organized wires, TV and remote programming, two connected devices and a walk-through. Advanced Mounting, from $325, adds a paintable cord cover over the wires and three to five devices or a two-speaker audio system.

Do you give free estimates?

Yes, Mounted and More gives free estimates for custom projects. That covers home theaters, whole-home audio, smart home setups, outdoor TVs and larger TVs. Standard TV mounting has published starting prices instead, beginning at $150 for Mount and Go. Call (970) 426-8215 or use the quote form to describe your project.

TV mounting and walls

Can you mount a TV on a log wall?

Yes, Mounted and More can mount a TV on most log walls, using lag bolts and washers driven into solid log. We stay out of gaps and chinking. Logs shrink, swell and settle with the seasons, so we choose a spot and a mount that allow for that movement. A photo of the wall helps us quote it.

Can you mount a TV on brick or stone?

Yes, Mounted and More mounts TVs on brick and stone by anchoring into the face of the brick or stone with masonry anchors. We never anchor into the mortar joints, which are softer and can crumble. Rough river rock or stacked stone can take extra time to find a flat, solid spot, so describe your wall when you book.

Is it safe to mount a TV over a fireplace?

It can be, but heat and viewing height decide it. Heat rising off the mantel can shorten a TV's life, and a screen set too high can strain your neck. Wood-burning fireplaces carry the most risk. Mounted and More checks how warm the wall gets and how high the screen would sit, then tells you plainly whether it is a good spot.

Can I mount a TV outside on a covered deck?

Yes, with an outdoor-rated TV. Indoor TVs are not built for rain, snow, sun or cold mountain winters, even under a roof. Mounted and More mounts outdoor-rated TVs into solid framing on covered decks and patios from Purgatory to Pagosa, plans the cable run so nothing sits in the weather, and gives a free estimate for outdoor TV work.

What size TV can you mount?

Mounted and More mounts TVs 46 inches and up in its standard packages, and larger screens as custom jobs. Mount and Go covers TVs 46 inches and up. Advanced Mounting is priced for TVs from 46 to 60 inches. Bigger TVs need heavier mounts and more care to lift and level, so they get a free estimate.

Do I need to buy the TV mount?

You supply the TV, and the mount is sorted out when you book. If you already own a mount, tell Mounted and More the brand and model so we can check that it fits your TV and your wall. If you do not have one, we will talk through fixed, tilting and full-motion mounts for your room.

How long does TV mounting take?

Mounted and More gives you a time estimate when you book, based on your TV, your wall and what you want connected. A simple mount on drywall is the quickest job. Log, stone or over-fireplace mounts, hidden wires and several devices to set up all add time. Call (970) 426-8215 and describe your project.

Wires and cables

Can you hide TV cables in the wall?

Yes, for low-voltage cables like HDMI, speaker and network cable. Mounted and More runs those inside the wall for a clean look. The TV power cord never goes inside the wall, because the electrical code does not allow flexible cords there. A new outlet behind the TV is a job for a licensed electrician.

Can you hide TV wires without cutting into the wall?

Yes, with a surface raceway, a slim plastic cover that runs from the TV down to your outlet and devices. Mounted and More uses raceways on log, stone and brick walls, where cutting into the wall is hard or not possible. A paintable cord cover is included in Advanced Mounting, from $325; in-wall runs are quoted separately.

General

Do you offer a discount for first-time customers?

Yes. Mounted and More gives every first-time customer 15% off. Mention the discount when you call (970) 426-8215 or send the quote form, and Tim will note it on your estimate. It applies across our services, from TV mounting and Sonos setup to winterizing and holiday lighting, anywhere from Purgatory to Pagosa Springs.

Home audio and theater

Should I get a soundbar or surround sound?

Get a soundbar for simple, better sound, and surround sound for a more immersive room. A soundbar is one speaker under the TV with little wiring. A surround system, like 5.1, places speakers around the room but needs a receiver and more wiring. Mounted and More installs both and can help you choose for your room.

Do you install Sonos and other wireless speakers?

Yes. Sonos is Tim's favorite home audio system to install, because the app is simple and you can add rooms over time. Mounted and More sets up Sonos soundbars, surrounds, subs and multi-room music, and also installs and troubleshoots other brands of home audio and theater gear from Purgatory to Pagosa.

Vacation rentals

Do you set up TVs for vacation rentals?

Yes, Mounted and More sets up vacation-rental TVs from Purgatory to Pagosa. That means simple remotes guests can figure out, streaming apps signed in and organized, and Wi-Fi that holds up when the house is full. We can also mount the TVs and tidy the wires so the setup looks clean for every guest.

Can I check on my vacation rental from my phone?

Yes, with the right smart home setup. Mounted and More sets up entry cameras, smart locks with guest codes, thermostats, smart plugs and freeze and leak sensors that you control from a phone app anywhere. Cameras go on exteriors and entries only, following your rental platform's camera rules, which ban cameras inside. Setup starts with a free estimate.

Smart home

Do you install cameras, smart locks and thermostats?

Yes, Mounted and More sets up cameras, smart locks, thermostats and lighting. We also make sure your Wi-Fi reaches those devices, which matters in log homes and cabins where walls block the signal. Smart home work from Purgatory to Pagosa is quoted as a custom project with a free estimate. Call (970) 426-8215 to talk it through.

Can you set up Alexa, Google Home or Apple Home to run my TV?

Yes, if your TV and devices support it. Mounted and More links the TV, soundbar and smart devices to Alexa, Google Home or Apple Home, groups them by room and tests the voice commands with you. Apple Home needs a home hub, such as an Apple TV or HomePod, for automations and control away from home. Voice commands need working internet, so Tim checks the Wi-Fi first.

Wi-Fi and internet

Is mesh Wi-Fi or an extender better in a log home?

Mesh Wi-Fi is usually better than an extender in a log home. Thick logs and stone walls block wireless signals, and a single extender often just repeats a weak signal. A mesh system uses several units that work together, and it works best when those units are linked by network cable. Mounted and More sets these up.

What internet works near Vallecito Lake?

It depends on your address, so Mounted and More checks what actually works there. Options near Vallecito Lake can include CenturyLink DSL, fixed wireless, T-Mobile Home Internet and Starlink satellite. Availability maps are only estimates, and fiber reaches few homes. Once the service is in, we set up the router and Wi-Fi for your TVs and devices.

Home and seasonal services

Does Mounted and More do work besides TVs and audio?

Yes. Besides TV, home audio and smart home installs, Mounted and More offers low-voltage landscape lighting, holiday lighting and decor, cabin winterizing, fire mitigation around the home and small handyman jobs. Electrical circuits, plumbing repairs, gas work and large tree removal go to licensed specialists. Home and seasonal services are quoted with a free estimate.

Do I need an electrician for landscape lighting?

Not for a plug-in low-voltage system. Mounted and More installs low-voltage path, step and accent lights that run from a transformer plugged into an existing outdoor outlet. A new outdoor outlet, a dedicated circuit or line-voltage lights wired into the house need a licensed electrician. Landscape lighting starts with a free estimate.

What does fire mitigation include?

Fire mitigation from Mounted and More is hands-on defensible-space work: clearing brush and small saplings, limbing lower branches, raking needles, cleaning gutters and moving firewood away from the house, following the Colorado State Forest Service home ignition zone idea. It lowers the risk but does not make a home fireproof. Large trees and anything near power lines go to a tree service or the utility.

What handyman jobs do you take on?

Mounted and More handles small jobs around the house: furniture and shelf assembly, hanging mirrors, art and curtain rods, caulking, and minor fixes to doors, hinges, cabinet hardware and trim. Structural work, plumbing under the plumbing code, gas work and electrical panel work go to licensed pros. Send a list of jobs and a few photos for a free estimate.

Do you rent holiday lights?

Yes. Mounted and More offers holiday lighting rental packages where the rental includes the lights, the installation and the removal after the season. You do not buy or store anything. Tim can also hang and take down lights you already own. Rental packages and installs from Purgatory to Pagosa start with a free estimate.

Can you winterize my cabin or vacation home?

Yes. Mounted and More winterizes cabins and vacation homes by shutting off the water, draining or blowing out the lines, protecting hose bibs and setting the thermostat. We can add smart freeze and leak sensors that alert your phone. Plumbing repairs go to a licensed plumber. Winterizing starts with a free estimate; call (970) 426-8215 before the first hard freeze.
