Do you serve Durango?
Yes. Mounted and More serves Durango, in ZIP codes 81301 and 81303. Our base in Vallecito is about 45 minutes away, and Tim Peterson, the owner, does the installs himself.
Durango is the largest town we serve, and the housing is varied: condos, older homes, newer houses and plenty of vacation rentals. Each of those needs something a little different.
What do older Durango homes need?
Older homes need careful mounting and creative cable routing. Walls in older houses can be plaster or brick, and they rarely have the open, predictable framing of new construction.
On brick, we anchor into the brick face, not the mortar joints. Behind plaster, we find solid framing before anything goes on the wall. Hiding wires inside an older wall is sometimes possible and sometimes not worth the damage; a paintable surface raceway can be the cleaner choice. Power cords never run inside walls, and new outlets need a licensed electrician. See TV mounting and wire hiding for the details.
What about condos in Durango?
Condo installs are about clean work in a smaller space. Many condo owners want the TV on the wall, the cables out of sight and a soundbar instead of a room full of speakers.
A soundbar gives a big improvement in sound with a small footprint. If you want more, we can set up surround sound or in-wall speakers where the building allows it. Learn more on our home audio page.
Can you set up a Durango vacation rental?
Yes. Vacation-rental TVs need to be simple for guests and easy for owners to manage. We set up rental TVs with easy remotes, streaming apps guests can log in and out of, and Wi-Fi that holds up when the place is full.
A mesh Wi-Fi system often covers a multi-level rental better than a single router. We also set up smart locks and thermostats that make it easier to manage the property from a distance. See device setup and smart home and networking.
Do you build home theaters in Durango?
Yes. We design and install home theaters in Durango, from a dedicated basement room to a projector and screen in a family room.
A good theater starts with the room: screen size, seating distance, speaker placement and how much light gets in. We plan the system around the space you have. Home theater projects get a free estimate. See our home theater page.
How much does TV mounting cost in Durango?
Mount and Go starts at $150, Basic Mounting starts at $200, and Advanced Mounting starts at $325. These are starting prices, not final prices.
We publish our starting prices, so you know where a job starts before you call. TV size, wall type, fireplace mounting and in-wall wiring can raise the total. The full breakdown is on our pricing page.
